Side-line business

For my colleagues who have suddenly found themselves on the beach..

We looked around and realized that we had a lot of books on the shelf that we had already read. Some were textbooks; some were novels; some were Christian books. In most cases, they were not books that we would keep as reference books or would likely read again.

So I began selling them on a site called Cash4books.net.

Cash4Books is McKenzie books. Here's how it works:

You enter the ISBN number of the book(s) you wish to sell.

The system will respond by telling you: a.) if Cash4Books will purchase the book; b.) how many copies you can sell, if you have more than one; c.) the amount they will pay for the book.

Then just print out the shipping/packing list and the postage paid label, box them up and mail them.

I discovered this site in September and since then, have sold 4 boxes of books. I have a couple of large boxes to go through in the next couple of weeks.

Hey, it won't pay your mortgage. But every little bit helps in these difficult times.

You could also try checking the prices on BookScouter.com. You might find a different site that is paying more for some of the books, or sites that are buying books that Cash4Books doesn't accept.
